The Pilates Reformer was designed by Joseph Pilates and was used in his New York studio in the 1920's. Many of the matwork exercises we practice are derived from the original repertoire of reformer exercises. Using a series of springs, pulleys and a sliding carriage the Reformer allows Pilates to be practiced with a greater or lesser resistance and allows a great deal more variation. The difference a reformer makes to the practice of Pilates must be experienced to be believed. Practice on the Reformer will be of benefit to beginners and athletes alike. Historically, however, it has been a well kept secret amongst professional dancers.

Reformer Training is available at our studio on Lowgate in Hull.

Some experience of Pilates Matwork prior to training on the Reformer is advisable and this can be either in a group or one to one setting.

One to one training on the reformer is currently available at an introductory price of £35 per session.

Personal training clients are invoiced towards the end of each month.

Payment terms are 7 days from date of invoice.

Some clients choose to pay for 10 sessions in advance (full price home based PT £350, studio based reformer training normally £400) and receive an additional 11th session free.

Cancellation of personal training sessions.

Sessions are booked in advance and most clients have regular weekly or twice weekly slots. Prior to training all clients agree to a cancellation policy whereby a minimum of 24 hours notice of cancellation is required, otherwise the session will be charged.
